Privacy notice
This notice covers visits to dotvelocity.com and enquiries sent to Dotvelocity Limited. It does not replace the privacy information on Crowdtrip, which explains how that service handles your information.
Who is responsible
Dotvelocity Limited is the controller for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09443474. Our registered office is 73 Highgate Road, Walsall, West Midlands, England, WS1 3JB. Contact us at hello@dotvelocity.com, including for privacy requests.
Information used to run this website
When you visit, Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery and security. It processes technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser or device information to deliver pages and help detect abuse. Our lawful basis for operating and protecting the website is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure company website.
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to retrieve these files, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. This supports our legitimate interest in displaying the website consistently.
When you contact us
We receive your email address, name if supplied, message, attachments and the associated email details. We use these to respond, follow up and keep relevant correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and administering our business. If you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, the relevant processing may instead be necessary for those steps. We may also retain information to meet a legal obligation.
Email to our public address is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox used to handle company enquiries. Cloudflare and Google therefore process email content and associated delivery information. Providing information is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer without sufficient details.
Cookies and tracking
The website code does not set cookies or use browser storage, advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may use security mechanisms, including necessary cookies when a security feature requires them. These help protect the website. Following a link to another website brings you under that website’s own privacy and cookie information.
Who receives information and where it is processed
Our providers include Cloudflare for hosting, security and email routing, and Google for Gmail and font delivery. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary to handle a legal matter or comply with the law.
Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, including in the United States, so information may be processed outside the UK. Their published transfer arrangements include the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered US transfers and contractual safeguards where applicable. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s transfer information for details. Contact us if you need more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to answer the enquiry, complete related follow-up and maintain records relevant to an ongoing business relationship. Where a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention, that requirement determines the period. The nature of the enquiry, whether it is resolved and any applicable record-keeping obligations determine when information is no longer needed. Technical records held by our hosting and email providers are subject to their service settings and retention practices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the website operation and enquiry handling described above. Explain your circumstances when contacting us so we can consider the request.
Email hello@dotvelocity.com to exercise your rights. We may need information to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, or call 0303 123 1113.
